Mildred Smith the director of Delta House Preschool Program at Delta Community Mental Health. She has served as
the director for 10 years. The Delta House Program provides service for individuals with disabilities. The Delta House
provides direct training through a variety of activities, both individually and in small groups as well as mainstreaming with
the Head Start Program when appropriate.
Delta House provides sequential developmental training in personal social, speech and language, motor skills, and cogntive
skills. Our daily schedules include breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, outside play and rest period. Delta House
assists parents in helping their child to reach and improve their functioning level and achieve greater self sufficiency is
the goal of the program. For the convience of the parents, some of the services are offered in the home, while
others are offered in Delta House.
